Govt collects 2692 acres from reluctant farmers

Supreme Court had struck down one more petition filed against the capital construction in Amaravati. These petitions were filed by a former journalist and previously AP Minister Devineni Uma alleged Jagan is behind this petition.

On the other side, the state government is collecting the land via its land pooling policy. Out of the left over 3892 acres of the reluctant farmers, the government managed to collect all the land except 1100 acres. This was confirmed by Municipal Minister P.Narayana.

With this the government had already collected about 32000 acres under the land pooling scheme, a record in Independent history. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for Amaravati on October 21st, the Vijaya Dasami day.
