Governor to interfere in Section 10 institutions controversy!

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are taking one on one after Telangana government unilaterally declared that all the institutions mentioned in Section 10 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, located in Hyderabad belong to itself.

Telangana government further declared that AP can only avail the services of these institutions paying user charges. Ambedkar Open University and Potti Sriramulu Telugu University withheld the results of Andhra Pradesh students while announcing the results of Telangana students.

Potti Sriramulu Telugu University went a step ahead and apparently took a decision not to give admissions to students hailing from Andhra Pradesh. As tensions are flaring up on both sides regarding this, Governor is likely to direct both the states that status quo should be maintained by both the States on Schedule X institutions till the Union Government or the apex court resolve the differences over the bifurcation of these issues.
