AP Taking a step forth for Riverside Farmers?

Representatives of Riverside farmers who are reluctant to give their lands to the Land Pooling of the Andhra Pradesh government will be meeting Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu tomorrow. Riverside farmers who are getting 4-5 crops per year are of the opinion that the current compensation announced by the government is not enough and are demanding more.

The state government earlier announced 1300 square yards for Riverside farmers for every acre of Jareeb Land. The farmers are demanding the compensation to increase at least till 1600 square yards. It is said that the government may consider increasing the compensation till 1400 square yards to Jareeb Lands.

The deadline for land pooling will be completed by 28th of this month. The government which extended the deadline already once is not keen to do it again. The state government is planning to complete the land pooling by 28th and go for land acquisition in remaining lands there after.
