The government responded to the allegations of allotment of land at a nominal price and violation of norms in allotment.

The Government recently issued orders canceling land allotments. Due to this, the Visakha district administration has taken action.

Visakha District Collector took custody of the lands and set up warning boards in those lands.

7.7 acres in Kothavalasa Survey No. 102/2, 7.3 acres in 103, and a total of 15 acres were given to Sarada Peetam.

An acre of land fetches up to Rs 15 crore in the open market here. In this calculation, 15 acres together will be up to Rs.225 crores. Jagan’s government allotted all that valuable land at the rate of Rs.1 lakh per acre.

First, the land was earmarked only for Spiritual Purposes. The Swami requested the Government and got changed it to ‘any purpose’.

The ‘any purpose’ change indicates the land is not going to be used for Spiritual Purposes and it is a favor to the Swamy by the then Government.

Besides, Jagan Government used to spend 20 Lakh Rupees per month for the security of the Peetam. The new government also withdrew the security recently.
