A petitioner approached the Green Tribunal alleging that multicrop lands were taken for the capital. He also said that the land is not suitable for high rise buildings and also have the effect of Kondaveeti Vaagu floods. He argued that the project as a whole do not have environmental clearance.

The petitioner says this stay will also apply to the foundation ceremony on 22nd of this month. It is interesting to note where this issue leads to. The state government had to go for an appeal and clear decks at least for the Foundation stone laying ceremony.
