
A Gujarati man trying to get into US through Dunki route died in Nicaragua.
It is known that President Trump has imposed strict restrictions for those trying to enter US illegally. The Indian government too has been giving directives to stop using Dunki routes to enter countries like US, UK.
Still, there are quite a few who are using Dunki routes to enter US. One such Gujarati man who was taking the Dunki route along with his family died en route.
The deceased has been identified as Dilip Patel from Gujarat’s Moyad village, Sanarkanta district. Dilip approached an agent to go to the US who asked for RS 1 crore to take them. Dilip sold his land and gave the money to the agent.
Two months back, Dilip along with his wife and child left for Dubai on a tourist visa and later went to Nicaragua. From there he was going through the Dunki route when he developed severe sugar problem.
As he didn’t get medicines, he passed into coma and eventually died, according to officials. But his wife and child are struck on the way.
While the local authorities had no intimation of the death, they are working with foreign ministry to bring back the body.
