TDP and BJP Makes Vizag Politics Interesting

With GVMC elections fast approaching, Vishakapatnam Politics have turned interesting. TDP and BJP are competing with each other wooing former Anakapalli MP and former Mayor, Sabbam Hari offering him Mayor Post. Sabbam has got clean image due to his active participation in Samayikya Andhra movement.

He also played a crucial role in the loss of YS Vijayamma in Vishakapatnam Parliament by withdrawing from the contest in the last minute. TDP is hoping that his entry will strengthen the party there. Sabbam is from Velama community which will play a decisive role in GVMC elections which will happen towards the end of the year.

On the other side, BJP also pinned high hopes on Sabbam as his entry will be strengthening the party in Vishakapatnam. Both the parties are competing with each other to bring him on board. But given that Vishakapatnam people are not very happy with BJP for going back on Railway Zone promise, it has to be seen if Sabbam chooses BJP.
