Harikrishna Laid to Rest with Full State Honours

Nandamuri Harikrishna was laid to rest for the one last time with full state honours by the Telangana Government. The final journey which began from his Mehedipatnam residence ended at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills. His elder son, Kalyan Ram performed the final rites.

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shouldered the Death Bed of his Brother-in-law, Harikrishna along with Former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Jasti Chalameswar. Chandrababu kept the TDP flag on the mortal remains earlier as a mark of respect. He also travelled with Harikrishna in the vehicle which carried the mortal remains to Mahaprasthanam.

Scores of fans and supporters thronged to Harikrishna’s Residence and also lined up all along the way to have a final look. ‘Harikrishna Amar Rahe’ slogans filled the entire area as the family members moved along with him in his final journey with saddened faces. Telangana Government also offered to build a memorial for Harikrishna in Mahaprasthanam. The family members will be consulted for the memorial construction.
