The BRS party seems to be planning a Delhi-style farmers’ dharna in Telangana. On Saturday, BRS leader and ex minister Harish Rao’s talk to BRS cadre and media, created this impression.
Harish Rao warned Revanth Reddy regarding the plight of farmers around ORR road. Harish Rao alleged Revanth Reddy was contemplating cutting out about 2 lakh farmers around ORR from the rythu bandhu scheme.
Harish Rao said when the 2 lakh farmers will come and block Outer Ring Road, your head will start spinning Revanth Reddy. In Patancheruvu, we are 22,000 farmers. Even if 22,000 will sit in dharna on ORR, how many will you arrest, he challenged Revanth Reddy.
If 22,000 farmers will sit on ORR and do ‘vanta varpu’ on it, will Revanth Reddy not come down, questioned Harish Rao. Sabitakka, Malla Reddy will join us from their places.

The warnings remind one of the farmers’ dharna in Delhi when scores of farmers from Punjab and Haryana sat in dharna on outskirts of Delhi demanding repealing of farm laws suggested by PM Modi.
They sat in dharna for 380 days till the Modi government gave in and repealed the laws.
At the time, Congress supported the farmers. If BRS sits in dharna with farmers, how will Revanth respond is the big question. Will the Telangana CM let the matter escalate to that extent?
