Harish Rao’s strange argument on Settlers!

Telangana Minister Harish Rao came up with a silly argument on Andhra Pradesh government’s objection on Palamuru – Rangareddy, Dindi Project. Harish said that Hyderabad needs 60 TMC of water every year and out of it 25 TMC will be consumed by Andhra People living in Hyderabad. Objecting to the project will mean that AP government is denying them water.

It is not the duty of Andhra Pradesh government to provide water to the settlers living in Hyderabad. Telangana government is deriving taxes from them for all the services it is providing to them and it is their responsibility to give them water.

There are people of several states residing in Hyderabad and it does not mean that they have to bring their water from the share of their states. AP government is alleging that these projects do not have permissions and it is purely a technical issue and there should be no sentiment logics while establishing the facts.
