Hawkeye: Hyd Police Performance Appraisal on Peaks

The Police helpline app ‘Hawkeye’ recently rolled out by Hyderabad Police has received stunning response. The app released two months ago had more than 30000 downloads and 67% positive reviews from its users. The Police department is receiving around 150 complaints every day like like traffic violations, happening crimes and crimes against women through this app. Since the app’s launch on December 31, 2014 around 2,000 complaints have been received of which 60% are about traffic violations.

Complainants will get a receipt and status report for their complaint.It is said that the App is getting better reviews than that of the apps of their New Delhi and Mumbai counterparts. The app is currently available only on Android.

So as to make it reach for more people, the police department is also getting the IOS app ready. The new app will have three more new features – Traffic Updates (TU), Notifications and Facebook links.
