HC in Amaravathi -Naidu says no to lobbying

While there are demands from various sections of people to setup the high court of Andhra Pradesh in Vishakapatnam or Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is keen on setting it up in Amaravathi itself.

The Chief Minister clarified this to advocates associations and clarified that there should not be any scope for competitive lobbying. However the state government may consider the requests of setting high court benches at Visakhapatnam and Kurnool, thus satisfying the interests of all the regions of the State.

The appropriate location of the high court is already finalized and communicated to the Singapore Experts team who will incorporating this in the Master Plan of the capital. According to reliable sources, the High Court and accommodation for judges will come up in a 100-acre site in Amaravathi.
