Health Ministry in Telangana, a Haunted Job?

Back in 2015, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao all of sudden, shown door to the then Health Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, T.Rajaiah in the wake of serious charges of corruption in his department. Later in the slight reshuffle, C. Laxma Reddy was offered the position.

But now, Laxma Reddy is also on the verge of getting axed. There are allegations on the procurement of sub-standard saline bottles and medicines by the department which led to SD Eye Hospital incident where many lost their eye sight. He is also under criticism for the recent cases of cholera and dengue in the city.

It is emerging that KCR will replace him in the next cabinet shuffle. But TRS leaders see the Health Ministry as a haunted post and do not want to touch it any cost since they are of the opinion that even if they get it, it will be only a short lived affair.
