Heart Attacks: Covid Patients At Great Risk

Of late, we have been seeing a steep increase in the number of deaths due to heart attacks. Many commoners are falling prey to this sudden spike in the number of eaths related to heart diseases.

Now, the Union Health Minister of India, Mansukh Mahavidya has made an interesting directive with regard to heart diseases.

“It is advised that the patients who were severely affected by Covid-19 should stay away from steep physical pressure. They are advised not to indulge in intense exercises and stressing activities for at least 2 years after getting affected by Covid” the minister said.

The minister added that those who were severely affected by Covid are at increased risk of heart attacks and related medical complications. He quoted the citation from the Indian Council Of Medical Research (ICMR) which links extreme Covid cases with possible heart complications.

Of late, we are hearing cases of even teenagers and youngsters falling prey to heart attacks. Now, the new directive from the union health minister gives a new insight into the same.
