High Court applies Brake to KCR's speed

Hyderabad High Court had issued interim orders to stop the Building Regularization Scheme (BRS) and Land Regularization Scheme (LRS) brought out by the Telangana government. The high court asked the government to stop the process until further orders.

BRS and LRS are big sops offered by the ruling party to woo settlers towards the party. Settlers are said to be holding several buildings and lands which are constructed illegally. These schemes will ensure they solve the problem once for all.

At the same time, government is eyeing huge revenue from both these schemes. Only solace for the ruling government is that the high court had allowed government to take applications for both these schemes. This will be a huge disappointment for people who spent money for Engineers to decide the deviations etc.
