High Court counters KCR’s defection hunt!

Hyderabad High Court had shocked TRS government in Telangana by issuing notices to the MLAs and MLCs who got elected from other parties and joined the ruling parties. These MLAs and MLCs are clinging to their post despite violating the anti-defection law. With the Speaker as its man, Telangana government is conveniently making sure that they are not suspended.

There is no prescribed time limit to decide up on the defection complaints and so the Speaker is sitting on them until every thing is favour for the ruling government to contest and win elections. High Court today accepted a petition on such defections.

The high court issued notices to Telangana Speaker and Council Chairman. Notices were sent to 5 Congress MLCs and 3 TDP MLAs who were in ruling party right now. Talasani Srinivas Yadav, TDP MLA from Sanathnagar is even serving as a minister in KCR’s cabinet. Telangana Chief Minister is encouraging defections from other parties to strengthen his party ahead of GHMC elections. High court’s intervention now will apply brakes to KCR’s speed.

Notices were served to following members:

TDP MLAs: Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Teegala Krishna Reddy and Dharma Reddy.
Congress MLCs: Yadava Reddy, Amos, Bhanu Prasad, Jagadeeswar Reddy and Bhupal Reddy.
