High Court Gives Jagan Government A Chance To Correct

A few students and their parents have approached Andhra Pradesh High Court against the state government’s decision to conduct offline exams for tenth and intermediate in the pandemic saying that the Government is risking their lives.

Despite stiff opposition from parents, students, and the Opposition parties, the Jagan Government is hellbent on conducting the exams. The court has taken the side of the parents in this issue and opined that it is risky to conduct the exams with 30 Lakhs of students and teachers.

“How can you take such a risk? Other states, CBSE, and ICSE have also canceled the exams. It’s better you rethink the decision,” the court said. The court asked the Government to submit an affidavit by May 3rd and said it would conduct the final hearing that day.

The legal experts say the Government is given a chance to correct its decision and the court is likely to cancel the exams if the Government does not take such a decision on May 3rd. The Intermediate exams in Andhra Pradesh will begin on May 5th.
