High Court Orders To Register Criminal Case Against IAS Officer

Andhra Pradesh High Court had ordered its Registrar to file a case in the police station concerned against AP Build Mission Special Officer, Praveen Kumar regarding the recusal petition filed against Justice Rakesh Kumar.

It is known to our readers that the Government in its petition requested Justice Rakesh to rescue himself from hearing the petition filed against the Mission Build Andhra Pradesh alleging that he has a pre-conceived notion against the Government’s objectives.

The court asked the Government to prove the allegations which the counsel representing the Government failed to. The court asked the Government why it is needlessly interfering with judicial matters. Vexed by the Government’s attitude, the High Court instructed the chief judicial magistrate to file a case of contempt of court and initiate criminal proceedings against him.

This is the first time in recent years that the court issued serious orders against an IAS officer.
