‘Hero’ Land controversy nearing a solution

The road block before the first biggest investment of the truncated Andhra Pradesh, the Hero Motocorp plant in Madannapalem near Sri City SEZ in Chittoor district is likely to be cleared very soon. It is known that earlier the high court had stayed the constructions in the land as a person Kishanlal of M/s Aishwarya Orchids and Plantations claimed the ownership of 600 acres allotted to Hero Motors by the AP government.

The case came to hearing in the court couple of days ago and the government attorneys said that after Estate act is cancelled, all the lands of the estates have gone to the government. The court is of the opinion that the stay should be lifted. In case, M/S Aishwarya Orchids and Plantations won the case, the court will ensure that they get compensation from the government according to the land acquisition act.

However the lawyer of the M/S Aishwarya Orchids and Plantations did not agree to the proposal. The judge reserved the final orders till the next hearing. The court is likely to release the stay in the next hearing.
