High Court to take up Phone Tapping Case!

Hyderabad High court had issued a stay on the proceedings of Phone Tapping Case in Vijayawada Metropolitan court until final orders. The court asked the call data to be submitted to itself through a special messenger.

According to the legal experts, the High Court may take up the phone tapping case for hearing going further if AP government approaches the high court. The jurisdiction argument by Telangana government will not stand if High Court takes up the case as it is the common high court of both the Telugu states.

Senior Supreme court lawyer Ram Jethmalani argued Telangana government’s case in high court. The government had agreed that it indeed tapped few phone but only for maintaining public order. Revealing those details will now be a hindrance to the government’s duty.
