Hispeed Suburban Train for Amaravati!

Andhra Pradesh government had asked Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to come up with a DPR for hi-speed Suburban Train to connect the VGTM zone. Earlier the state government had planned Metro Rail for the capital region

However the sparse population made the project financially not feasible. So the state government is mooting the idea of hi-speed Suburban Train. The state government will also use some of the existing railway infrastructure for this project.

Hi-speed Suburban Train is very cheaper than the metro rail project. So it came as a cheaper option for Amaravati. On the other side the central government had agreed in principle to fund the metro rail project of Vijayawada.
