Historic Apple Store Opens In India

Tech giant, Apple has opened up its first official brand-owned star in India and this has come as a historic development in the Indian tech space.

Another interesting development is that Apple CEO, Tim Cook himself opened the doors and welcome patrons at the new outlet in Mumbai.

The outlet was opened at the Bandra area and the store is named Apple BKC. This is a part of Apple’s vast expansion plans in India.

The 20,800 sqft store in Bandra, Mumbai is Apple’s first retail store in India. The buyers can experience the wide range of Apple products at this facility and buy the same.

Apple is also planning to open a new facility in Delhi and this outlet is named Apple Saketh. This will be the second retail outlet of the tech giant in India.

Apple has a leading 40% market share in the Indian smartphone market and they intend to upscale their market big time in the domestic market henceforth.

Also, Apple is making an effort to shift its production base from China to India. The company aims to amp up its product manufacturing rate in India to 5% of its global production rate.
