HISTORIC: Naidu takes giant leap towards interlinking of rivers

Finally the historic event happened. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took the first step towards the interlinking of rivers with diverting Godavari river to Krishna with Pattiseema project. Godavari water through Polavaram right canal reached Krishna district today morning. People of Krishna celebrated the historic event as a festival.

Currently the water is being pumped through Tadipudi Lift pipelines. The Chief Minister will inaugurate the first pump of Pattiseema on 15th and will release 350 cusecs of Godavari water to Krishna. Godavari water is expected to reach Prakasam Barrage on the same day. Spare a thought here for Devineni Uma who toiled day and night for this to happen.

This will be a master stroke of Chandrababu to Jagan. While giving Godavari flood water to Krishna delta. The allocated water of Krishna delta in Srisailam project will be directed to Rayalaseema to fight drought there. This will create a solid vote base to TDP in Rayalaseema which bastion of YSR Congress till date. Naidu also sent an indirect message to BJP that state can achieve progress even if the center is not ready to help it.
