Insensitive Media’s Terrible Reporting

In the past, we have seen how insensitively the media behaved during the suicide case of Sushant Singh Rajput or during the unfortunate death of Sridevi.

Now, the media’s handling of the tragic suicide of Tamil actor, music composer, and producer Vijay Antony’s 16-year-old daughter has been widely criticized for its insensitivity and disregard for guidelines.

On the road to Stella Maris, a lot of media companies were there. They had camera people looking inside the church where Vijay Antony’s daughter’s funeral was happening. It’s sad that even in this moment, the poor girl can’t have peace.

Some well-known YouTube channels are starting to look into this as if they knew Vijay’s daughter closely. This is really bad, and it’s not the first time it’s happened.

The incident sparked a disturbing media frenzy, with reporters belonging to some famous Tamil channels relentlessly troubling not only the grieving family but also the cooks and maids working in their house and speculating on the reasons behind the suicide.

Tamil Nadu Child Rights Watch (TNCRW) has criticized the insensitive media coverage of the suicide of actor-music composer Vijay Antony’s 16-year-old daughter. They are planning to take legal action against such no-ethics TV channels.
