AP bait: Just forgo HRA, the house is all yours

The state government is mulling the option of providing free housing for the government employees in Amaravati to lure them to shift there. The employee need not pay the money to the builder. The government will pay the down payment and the EMIs are also not need to be borne by the employees.

Instead they have to just forego their HRA (House rent Allowance) given by the government which should be a very fair deal. Normally this HRA component will not even take care of the interest component of the housing loan.

Hudco had agreed to extend loan to build about 10,000 houses in the capital region. With this attractive bait, the AP government is planning at least in bringing 10,000 employees in the first phase to the new capital. The government is also working on creating basic amenities to the employees and their families there.
