How Did YSRCP Win The Two Constituencies of Amaravati?

Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy confidently said that YSR Congress is going to win Mangalagiri as well as Thadikonda in the coming elections as well. “The agitation of TDP for Amaravati does not have the support of the people. They will understand the need for Decentralization and support YSR Congress,” he said.

The 29 villages who have given their lands for the Capital comes under these two constituencies. 19 villages come under Thadikonda and another 10 come under Mangalagiri. RK may be confident of winning these two in the next election because they could win the two constituencies despite opposing the capital before the 2019 elections.

We may call it confidence or over-confidence but the fact remains that people voted overwhelmingly for YSR Congress in two constituencies despite opposing the Capital. It will be interesting to see what is running through the minds of the people there when they voted for YSR Congress.

Even if all the allegations of Insider Trading and favoring a caste are true, it remains the same that both the constituencies will be benefitted immensely with Amaravati as the capital. Those having lands will get appreciation and those who do not have will still be benefitted due to the economic boom there. In fact, the capital benefits the entire stretch between Vijayawada and Guntur. Wonder why people did not buy the argument.
