First, they met for coffee and slowly their friendship grew. The man had claimed he was an employee of Osmania University.
The entire episode began in February 2023. In August, the same year, on August 15 to be precise, the man casually invited her to his house for dinner.
What started as a casual evening turned into an horrifying ordeal for the woman when he offered her a spiked drink. He then sexually assaulted her after she lost consciousness.
He also recorded the whole act. Upon waking up, the victim was shown the video and he demanded Rs 20 lakh. However, her problems did not end there.
The man started demanding Rs 1 crore. Fearing social stigma and unable to pay such a huge amount, the victim finally decided to approach the police.
Hyderabad police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
