Hyderabad Mayor put up his wishlist!

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) mayor Bonthu Rammohan and deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin have put forward their wishlists to the state government. Their elaborate wish lists include palatial buildings for residence-cum-offices and swanky SUVs. The Mayor already started scouting for a palatial building for his residence-cum-office.

Mayor’s men reportedly even zeroed in on the building housing the College of Nursing and another adjacent building on Raj Bhavan Road. He demands a permanent building for the mayor’s residence-cum-camp office. If these buildings are not available, the government promised him to allot one building officially.

Interestingly, there is no provision or precedent to provide accommodation to mayors. The mayor and the deputy mayor have reportedly also demanded the Fortuner, a sport utility vehicle that costs about Rs 33 lakh per vehicle. There is no provision for escort and other protocols for deputy mayor but he is eyeing one.
