Hyderabad Metro Rail Sets A Record on Day-1

The first phase of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project, the 30 Kilometers Route between Miyapur and Nagole which began its commercial operations on Wednesday created a new record. Hyderabad Metro Officials said that over 2 Lakh people commuted on the first day.

This is the highest ever and no other city in India recorded more than 50000 commuters on the first day. The number is expected to surge on the second day and more over the weekend, the officials expect and started crowd controlling measures.

Along with the people who are in need, people who want to experience the Metro Experience also eagerly boarded the train on the first day. In almost all the trains, people struggled even to stand during the journey and also to get down to their destination due to the heavy rush.
