‘Hyderabad not a bench mark for AP Capital’

TDP MP from Guntur, Galla Jayadev refused the claims that Andhra Pradesh will target a capital on the lines of Hyderabad. “Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Delhi are not our targets. We are aiming for an international city like Singapore, Washington, Copenhagen etc. We will compete with them in development”, said Jayadev.

Jayadev clarified that the state government is not using force on any one to give in their lands for AP’s capital. “90% are ready to give their lands. Remaining will also come forward hopefully”, Galla said.

The Master Plan for the capital will be readied by June and the Stone Breaking ceremony for the capital will take place in 6-7 months. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who promised a World Class Capital to the people of the state will personally monitor the capital construction by shifting base to the Temporary capital.
