Hyderabad Party failed badly!

Hyderabad based Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) which made an impressive debut in Maharashtra Assembly polls last year, failed to open its account in Bihar. The party contested in six of the 243 seats. These six seats are in Seemanchal region where the Muslim population are the deciding factor.

What is more disappointing is that the party did not give even a fight in these seats except to some extent by the president of the party’s Bihar unit, Akhtarul Imaan in Kocha Daman. In fact many thought MIM will eat in to Muslim votes of JDU+ in these seats and benefit BJP.

But according to the emerging data, Muslims rallied with Maha Ghat Bhandhan. MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi attributed the defeat to lack of good time to campaign. He however clarified that efforts will continue to strengthen the party in Bihar.
