Hyderabadi attempts to kill dark complexioned wife

Prabhu, a resident of Ranga Reddy district tried to kill his wife earlier this week as he is disappointed with her complexion. Prabhu’s brother Yellaiah also helped him in this and both of them were arrested on Thursday. Prabhu is a daily labourer and got married to Lakshmi who also works as a labour.

Since their marriage, Prabhu reportedly is torturing her complaining about her dark complexion. Lakshmi also approached the women’s police station and lodged multiple complaints. The police let him off after promising to change. On Tuesday, Prabhu tried to throttle her while Yellaiah is keeping watch outside.

Lakshmi raised an alarm which alerted the neighbours. They fled from the spot after the neighbours arrived. Local Police have registered cases of attempt to murder and harassment. Both of them were arrested on Thursday and were produced in court.
