Hyderabadi richer than his Counterpart!

Despite the worrying trends of political uncertainity and economic slow down due to Telangana agitation for several years, Hyderabad still manages to register impressive growth. Despite all this mess, the city still managed to beat Bengaluru in terms of growth in per capita income and job creation.

This was revealed by a report of US-based Brookings Institution, which tracks 300 top city economies. According to the report, per capita income in Hyderabad grew by 5.2 per cent in 2009-14, compared to 4.8 per cent in Bengaluru. Even though the difference is very little, Hyderabad managed to achieve it in difficult conditions.

However the report do not turn down the economic slow down of the city. It mentioned that much of the development particularly in the IT sector took place prior to 2009 and the impact was felt in 2009-2014. Which means Hyderabad would have gone places if not for the political ruckus that was created after the death of YSR.
