I don’t have Sharmila’s Number: Lokesh

Nara Lokesh has turned increasingly pro vocal when it comes to his election speeches. He has now held a public meeting as a part of TDP’s election campaign and he was fairly outward bound in the same.

When a commoner had a tricky question about TDP’s rapport with Sharmila, Lokesh had a firm response.

“Did you try to trigger the YCP ecosystem by tweeting out that about Sharmila sending a Christmas cake to you? Was it a provocation or a courtesy gesture?” The commoner asked Lokesh.

Lokesh replied “Sharmila garu sent us a cake and it was a wonderful gesture from her. I was touched by it and wanted to show gratitude. I didn’t have her contact details or number to send my regards so I sent her a thank you note on social media. We might have political differences but not personal issues.”

Lokesh’s calculated response to the tricky question sends out the right message. While it shows his class when it comes to respecting even political opponents, it also pinches YCP cadres who are not even able to bear the sight of Sharmila.
