YSR Congress Party President and the leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had announced that he is not going to attend Chandra Babu Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony. Jagan lashed out at Chandra Babu and TDP for wasting money in a lavish event when the state is in crisis. “Chandra Babu asks for donations for the capital on one side and wastes money unnecessarily on the other side. I will not take part in such event not in the interests of the state”, Jagan said to the media.
On the other side, TDP came down strongly on Jagan in this issue. TDP Senior Leader Somireddy Chandra Mohan Reddy said,”Jagan is jealous of Chandra Babu. He is respectably invited and turning down the invitation just shows his arrogance”. He also added that Jagan should change for good lest people will also reject him as Opposition. “We see YSRCP leaders asking Jagan to change. If he does not change, people will also reject him in opposition”.
