Ill planned KCR’s Tank Bund!

Telangana government had ambitiously planned the beautification of Musi river and face-lift the Miralam tank, located on the south of Musi. KCR wants to develop the lake on the lines of Tank Bund to act as a recreation hub for Old City residents.

In the first phase they have planned construction of a bund along the tank; entry plazas; walking, jogging and cycling tracks; tree plantation, theme parks, landscaping, island improvement, boating, fountains, illuminations, water quality improvement measures, etc., covering the entire stretch of Miralam Tank around seven kilometers. 10 Crore is allotted for this purpose.

They said the entire work will be completed in January but in February now, the works are not at least half way through. Some works were taken up without adequate planning and before appointing a consultant and now the corporation is reworking on those wasting precious public money.
