Impressive Idea to Deal with Banned Notes

Ever wondered what government would do to the banned notes which would be no longer valid in the near future? would they shred all of them in a huge paper shredder or burn them into ashes? Reports say that burning them is a good practice to go with since this procedure converts the useless papers to the fuel for Electricity Generation.

The idea was implemented by China in 2014 to dispose their invalid currency at the time of demonetization. In the experiment, they burnt their 100 Yuan old currency and generated electricity. They reported that one ton of shredded paper can generate 660 KW hours of electricity.

The ashes too can be used to produce bricks which are used to build houses for the people. Indian officials might need to take this idea from China to destroy our banned 500 and 1000 notes. As per Bloomberg report, 23 Billion demonetized currency would be piled for the government to work on.
