The Rashtrapati Bhavan is a place where heads of foreign states are hosted when they come on an official visit. For the first time, it will serve as a venue for a wedding!
But it comes with a caveat that the guest list needs to be short and exclusive. The person getting the once in a lifetime opportunity is CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) officer Poonam Gupta.
It is being reported that Murmu who was quite impressed by Gupta, has decided to allow for the wedding to take place in Mother Teresa Crown Complex within Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Poonam Gupta is a CRPF assistant commandent and is posted as the personal security officer (PSO) of the President. She will be marrying another assistant commondant Avneesh Kumar, who is posted in J&K.
The wedding date is set for February 12. An official confirmation is awaited.
