In Remand, Midhun Reddy Seeks Bail: Liquor Case

A4 in AP liquor scam, YSRCP MP Midhun Reddy has filed for petition in ACB Court. Already, the High Court and Supreme Court had denied bail to him.

Mithun Reddy is alleged to have played a key role in the Rs 3200 crore scam. The bail of other petitioners was deferred by Court. Meanwhile, SIT expedited its investigation and issued notices to Sravani Distilleries director.

Mithun Reddy who is in remand in Rajahmandry Central jail has once filed a petition for bail on Thursday. After some hide n seek, Mithun Reddy attended SIT inquiry on July 19.

He was investigated for 7 hours, following which he was arrested. Though he sought anticipatory bail, Mithun Reddy was denied one by HC and SC.

Hence, his lawyers once again approached the ACB Court. There are strong allegations regarding Mithun Reddy’s role in turning liquor orders and sales into manual index, during YSRCP’s term.

Mithun Reddy has a lot at stake as he is the sitting MP of Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency.
