IT And ED Raids On TS Minister Gangula Kamalakar

The officials of the Income Tax (IT) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) are conducting searches in many parts of Telangana. Officials are simultaneously conducting raids in Karimnagar along with Hyderabad.

Minister Gangula Kamalakar seems to be the target. The houses and offices of some granite traders are being searched. Inspections were conducted at PSR Granites in Panjagutta, Hyderabad, and Janapriya Apartments in Hyderguda.

Searches were also conducted at the residence of granite merchant Sridhar in Somajiguda.

IT and ED officials are conducting searches at Gangula Kamalakar’s house in Karimnagar and his Swetha Granites in Mankammathota, Raids are also happening in Mahaveer and SVR Granites in the Kaman area.

The houses and offices of granite trader Arvind Vyas and some others are also being searched. It is reported that granite traders are being investigated for allegedly violating FEMA regulations.

ED has already issued notices to eight agencies. In this background, around 20 officers are divided into teams and are conducting inspections today. Documents belonging to granite industries are being examined.

TRS alleges that they have expected this given that BJP is known for its vendetta politics.
