IT Raids on Revanth Reddy Ahead of Telangana Elections?

Ahead of the Telangana Elections, Cash for Vote Case has been opened. Income Tax Department is conducting raids on Congress Working President, Revanth Reddy from this morning at his Jubilee Hills Residence and three other places. It is alleged that there are shady transactions in the Construction Company belonging to his Brother and Revanth is a partner.

Revanth has been saying that the State Government will be targeting him and try to send him to jail fearing him ahead of the elections. Revanth Reddy’s fears seems to have come true. Telangana ACB has been investigating this 2015 case but it could not ascertain the source of the 50 Lakhs money seized.

Revanth Reddy offered another 4.5 Crore to nominated MLA, Stephenson back then. The State Government recently wrote to ED and the other Central Agencies to ascertain the source of this money. With that, CBI entered the scene. Congress is alleging that this is another example of the secret nexus between BJP and TRS.

On the other side, Income Tax Raids are also happening on Nominated MLA, Stephenson who is also the complainant of this case. Revanth Reddy who was recently appointed as the Working President of the Congress Party was supposed to begin the state-level campaign for the elections between 9 and 10 AM today and this happened.
