Country’s e-Court in Hyderabad

High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad, which is the common high court for the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, has housed the country’s first ever e-court. This is allocated to the common high court as the states were first two in the country to be chosen for Integrated Criminal Justice System (ICJS) project.

AP and Telanga were chosen first for this project as both the states made lot of progress in technology. ICJS integrate police stations with the courts, with jails, with the prosecution and with the forensic science laboratories. The e-court is completely computerized and is also paper-less.

The system is also likely to be introduced in the Supreme Court next week If that happens, Telugu States will go in to record books for being an inspiration to the Supreme Court.. e-courts will ensure speedy justice for the litigants. However the courts needs to appoint staff for paperless courts and advised judges to focus on online data entry.
