India Making Right Moves to Contain Coronavirus Infections

Coronavirus scare is gripping the entire globe. The number of infections in India has gone up to 81. Four persons have recovered and discharged while there is one death so far. Even though there is a minor spike in the number of infections for a country of a huge population, the government had responded fairly enough to contain the infection.

Indian Government is among the first to lock its borders for the foreigners. All the Visas except for some categories stand canceled until April 15th. Some of the flights to the affected countries were also canceled. India is one of the first to test the incoming passengers.

Last night, India had declared masks and hand sanitizers under the Essential Commodities Act. States can now ask them to enhance the production capacity of these items to make the supply chain smooth. Moreover, they can not be sold under exorbitant prices.

As of now, the Indian Government did a fair job of battling the menace. We can hope the summer will have an adverse effect on the virus and things will be normal soon so that the economy can thrive as well.
