Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has told the MLAs and MLCs of Telangana to donate their one month salary to National Defence Fund or NDF. Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka will discuss with the leaders and announce the amount.
The CM has requested the MLAs and MLCs from other parties to come forward to donate willingly. The decision has been taken following the developments post Operation Sindoor.
NDF accepts money from individuals, organisations, trusts, companies and institutions. It does not collect money through SMS or missed call services from any service provider.
All contributions made to NDF are exempt from income tax. Telangana is among the first states to announce donations for the aid of brave soldiers and their families.
NDF primarily supports the families of martyrs or those seriously injured while discharging their duty. All money is voluntarily donated. The Telangana CM has decided to put aside party affiliations and contribute willingly for those who take care of our lives.
