India to be No 1 Globally, 33% Telugus in it

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu said that the development of India by 2047 is no miracle. He said it was something that we deserved.

Whether one contributes towards growth or not, Indians will rise to No 1 position globally by 2047, Babu went on to say. Of that, 33% Telugus will be part of it. That is my thought, said Chandrababu at the Collectors’ Conference.

The CM reiterated that Indians will be No 1 or 2. You can all recollect these words once we reach there, he said.

Babu took a walk back into the past and narrated two anecdotes. He said that a Switzerland minister had met him and when Babu shared his thoughts, the Swiss minister told the press that the CM was a mad man who was talking baseless things. At the time, the opposition too made fun of me, said Babu.

Later, when I went to Davos, the minister who by then became the Prime Minister of Switzerland, said sorry to me for underestimating my words about India. During those days, no one would believe what India was capable of, said Babu.

Similarly, at another instance, I and Singapore PM were going in the car and discussing various things. He told me I was more of an optimist. I told him I was a realist.

The Singapore PM said it’s a challenge that India’s growth will not happen. Incidentally, I visit Singapore often and when I visited Singapore later, the PM apologized saying he didn’t belive me back then.

Nobody believed back then, but now everyone is believing globally, said Babu. Finally, Babu concluded by telling the Collectors to have no doubts and move ahead.
