Indian Convicted For Fatal Stabbing In Canada

In yet another hate crime, Inderdeep Singh Gosal, 32, has been charged with the second-degree murder of Paul Stanley Schmidt, 37, outside the Starbucks at West Pender and Granville Streets in Vancouver.

The fatal stabbing happened around 5.30 pm on Sunday following a brief altercation between two men outside Starbucks. Immediately after the incident, a VPD was flagged down, which arrested the suspect at the scene of the crime. Though they attempted to perform first-aid, the victim succumbed to injuries from the stabbing.

However, the investigators believe the victim and the assaulter did not know each other, but one thing led to the other. At the time, Paul was out with his family, his wife, and his three-year-old daughter.

Meanwhile, the police are hoping to gather any information or video with regard to the incident.
