Indian Director’s Jaw-dropping Film on U.S. Killings!

As the US faces gun crises, it is high time that it is taken as a story plot in movies and tele series to create awareness about the issue, and the trauma involved of the families affected by it. One such attempt is being made by Emmy-nominated Indian American writer, producer, and director Rohit Karn Batra.

The film is being described as an “allegory of the gun crisis in the United States”. The plot follows two Pittsburgh police partners and best friends who go to an uneventful domestic violence dispute as part of their assignment.

However, violence escalates as one of the officers TJ Meadows III shoots and kills his partner Kevin Cooper with his backup gun. This leaves TJ traumatized and no longer a cop, he decides to visit Kevin’s widow and a relationship brews between the two.

The film is being produced by Guy J Louthan and will be introduced to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival. Casting is underway though Poppy Delevingne will star in the film titled ‘The Gun on Second Street’. Delevingne was seen opposite Antonio Banderas in NatGeo’s ‘Genuis Picasso’. Louthon had earlier produced ‘The Lovers’ which was shot in India in 2013 and starred Bipasha Basu as the female protagonist.
