Indian touch to Amaravati Buildings?

It is already known that Japan’s Maki Associates have given the design for the government complex in Amaravati. However the designs of the iconic Assembly and High Court buildings did not receive good response as they do not depict our culture and looked like some power project plants.

Basing on the public feedback, CM Chandrababu Naidu had ordered to make changes. The government is planning to deploy few Indian Architects, to redesign the iconic buildings. The entire redesign should be completed in couple of months and the final designs should be tabled by October.

According to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, Center is mandated to bear all the necessary funding needed for the construction of this Government Complex. As per the initial estimate, the government complex is likely to cost 6000 Crore. The state government is keen to complete this construction before 2019 elections.
