Rain Threat Still Looming Large on World Cup?

ICC World Cup 2019 has reached its business end with India, Australia, England, and New Zealand grabbing the top four spots and advancing to the semi-finals. India will play New Zealand today and Australia will take on England on Thursday. The weather has played a major role throughout the tournament.

The league match between India and New Zealand was also washed out due to rain. Now, there is a possibility of Rain to comeback as they take on each other in Manchester later today. Light Showers are predicted in a few spells throughout the day but we may get to play, according to the weather department.

However, there is also a Reserve Day for the match in case the play is not possible. According to the rules, the play will resume on the Reserve Day from wherever it is stopped. The pitch is also expected to aide Pace Bowling due to the weather. The Second Semifinal between England and Australia also has Rain Threat.

India is keen on registering a hattrick by winning the cup for the third time. Australia previously won the cup for five times – highest by any time in the history of International Cricket. If England and New Zealand win, it will be the first time ever they will lay hands on the Cup.
