Insulted YSR Congress Leader to join BJP?

Former Ichchapuram MLA, Piriya Sairaj is the only MLA from TDP in 2009. He met Jagan in jail in 2013 and joined YSR Congress. Jagan promised him MP seat in 2014 and also a Union Cabinet Berth. He also promised an MLC seat if he lost the seat.

But in 2014 elections, Jagan did not give him a ticket. Recently Jagan visited Srikakulam but did not even talk to Sairaj. In fact, he told the party leaders to get him off the dais at a meeting. Sairaj met Jagan recently in Hyderabad along with his family.

When he asked about Ichchapuram ticket in 2019, Jagan to his utter dismay said, ‘Lets not talk about it’. Sairaj could not join TDP for obvious reasons, so is in talks with BJP. If everything goes well, he will join BJP in the presence of Amit Shah in July.
